This little drop from a Five Star Halliday rated Heathcote winery sees mostly tank fermentation to preserve the punchy, crunchy, vibrantly racy fruit characters of this wholly underrated Mediterranean grape. To fully capitalise on vermentino's luscious mouthfeel, it is also treated to some lees stirring and a small portion of old oak to really bring forth nuance and longevity in the glass. Saluti!

Why do we love this wine?
Vermentino, the refreshing white hailing from the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Deliciously complex in taste, yet familiar enough to please lovers of more well-known whites such as pinot grigio, sauv blanc, albarino, and riesling. It's also finding itself a comfy home in some of the warmer regions of Aus due to its ability to retain acidity in the heat. In particular, this hardy, delicious grape thrives with Heathcote's warm days and cool nights. Vale versatile vermentino!
