Why do we love this wine?
When it comes to aged sem, the first thing we want to notice is somewhat counter-intuitive; we want to see freshness leap out of the glass. This hits that brief immediately, a bouquet of white flowers and zippy lemon (almost lemon drop confectionary) that leads into a lanolin-like honeysuckle bit of complexity. A brilliant wine that is drinking perfectly at a decade old (or young) - weighty, chewy-yet-tart, lively and- dare we say it- still with a few flecks of green grass. This is a varietal masterclass - classic, poignant, proper sem. Salut!
