Long before Lone Star Creek began producing their own wines, they were supplying grapes to some of the Yarra's heaviest hitters. It's this intricate understanding of the land, climate and conditions that allows for the production of wines like this: structural and robust, with a clean, zippy acid line and a lovely lick of oak. A regionally expressive drop with tasting notes that read almost like an Upper Yarra cliché, white peach, cashews, dried honey and grapefruit. Mouth-coating and creamy with a toasty, spicy, oak driven finish. Balanced and beautiful and best of all, ready to drink. Sure, this will continue to develop beautifully over the next 5 years but, as we often say, why wait if you don't need to?
