Classic chardonnay from Margaret River's famed Wilyabrup region. The initial intensity is all meringue, butterscotch and cream, with tropical fruit to follow - sort of an Eaton Mess in reverse - but in place of sweetness there is drying, penetrating, lasting acidity.

Why do we love this wine?
A producer of serious note when it comes to Margs wine; these guys know how to chardy. This is styled to be a little 'old school' in execution. There is flashy oak and certainly some malo in play. That's where that initial swirl of dairy-like aromatics comes from. Beyond that, though, is the tropical fruit song - bright, juicy, lifted melon and citrus flavours that offer a counterpoint to the richness of the up-front creaminess.
