Why do we love this wine?

Known for producing some of the country's finest Shiraz (read: Hill of Grace), the Eden Valley is an incredible source of premium shiraz. The vineyards there seem to bear fruit worthy of royal status, it almost feels too good to drink. This premo shiraz shows immense complexity, with a nose of pomegranate and cherry molasses, black pepper and rip plums. The palate is silky smooth, rich and balanced with classic Eden acidity that keeps it all fresh and delightfully playful. This is a lot of shiraz, and a steal at the price.

Ray Jordan

This is quite different from the St Aidan’s and St Boniface in this range in that it gets 24 months in French oak as against American. Adams got his fruit for this from the eastern edge of Barossa, Angaston and Craneford. This is so bright and vibrant from the first take on the nose through to the completely seamless and concentration powerpack palate. In fact, so smooth and balanced, that it can be deceptive how much is lurking in here. Lovely plum and dark cherry with a little mulberry. Long finish.
