Why do we love this wine?
A generous and inviting bouquet of violets, boysenberry and cherry crumble meet the nose and might have you thinking you've got a lighter style of shiraz on your hands. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth. On the palate it's a little darker, plum, anise and choc liquorice with prominent, but well-integrated, toasty vanillin oak. Sure this is a full bodied wine, but when we tried this one on the tasting bench the two words that kept coming up were 'smooth' and 'pretty'. Sure you could age this wine for 5+ years if you wanted, but for this price, why bother!
