Why do we love this wine?
Classic Mclaren Vale is the first thing that springs to my mind upon sampling this sub-regional blend of several Vale vineyards. There's your telltale hint of choc mint and eucalyptus on the fragrant berry nose which follows through onto the silky structured palate. Great depth of flavour from the slow-ripening '21 vintage paired with 16 months in 25% new French and American oak gives us plummy black brambly berry notes, and rum 'n' raisin spice which lingers long into the next sip.
