When you've got great fruit, it inspires great care throughout the entire winemaking process. From vineyard to glass, goblet or whatever vessel you choose to take your in, this has been purposefully and dutifully cared for - and it shows. Hand-picked, matured in both new and seasoned American and French oak barrels, unfined and unfiltered. As with every great story, there's three acts to this wine.
Act 1 - The nose; dark chocolate, coconut and bursting black cherry, intrigue the drinker.
Act 2 - The oak; overt yet cleverly interwoven, the palate opens with a distinctly smooth, cedary edge that fills out the weighty palate whilst enhancing the spice.
Act 3 - The fruit; pure, intense, ripe and dark. The interplay between the pristine red and black fruit, the fine tannins and the new oak is where the real pleasure lies within this wine and the finish is enough to have you reaching for another glass before you can google how to say 'Marananga'!
