Iconic, age-worthy, and pristine. This is a boutique production where all the attention to detail is immediately apparent. Hand harvested, fermented and matured in partial new oak (around one third); everything here points to quality. Deep, black fruit sit atop vanilla and sweet pastry essence making for a wholly joyous and powerful drinking experience. Remarkable fresh, too, given its not insignificant stint in the cellar - with more years to go yet, should you choose to wait and see how this wine matures. For me, though, this is picture perfect as is, and it won't last long in my house.
