Why do we love this wine?
Super premium McLaren Vale shiraz is a wonderful thing. We can all agree on that. But here we’re talking about bar-setting, benchmark raising, superb wine that has been carefully aged and ready for release. We’re not the only ones who think this wine is something special, with the Halliday reviewers scoring this an impressive 95pts. It’s expressive of the unique terroir of McLaren Vale and in particular, the single site from which it’s sourced. Intense from the get-go. The palate is flecked with a subtle premium French oak influence but it’s the fruit that shines on centre stage. A spectacular interplay of licorice, black fruits, chocolate, herbs and leather: it’s a veritable smorgasbord of shiraz characteristics
