James Halliday gave this a "Drink by" rating of 2030, a once-in-a-lifetime Black Friday special, with heaps left in the tank. When this 17 year old stunner made its way onto the 'fo HQ tasting bench, there was an obvious buzz of excitement in the air! Decadently deep in both colour and flavour, it was a stand-out highlight of the day. We found the aromatic waxy nose to be full of blue and black fruit with spicy pepperberry notes. Backing up the impressive nose, the smooth, velvety palate is bold but balanced, coating the mouth with more fruit power, chocolate and spice. The length is magnificent with peppery notes of blackberry, liquorice and lifted touches of mint.
