Why do we love this wine?
It’s a powerful blend of some of Penfold’s best sites, that’s perfectly ripe and balanced fruit is supported by French and American oak and 4 years of age. It’s a wine that’s certainly at the start of a long journey with tannin and structure that will help it age for at least two decades. This is the 20th vintage of the RWT (which stand for Red Wine Trial) and being from the long 2017, shows off boundless complexity and as Campbell Mattinson says in his review below has “general swagger”.
