Why do we love this wine?
Velvety yet gnarled, this is ethereal to the max. There are layers of sweet berried fruit draped over muscle and torque. Silky and profound. A powerful Hunter Valley shiraz if ever I saw one. Dense and brooding and mysterious, it has genuine gravitas in the glass. It evolves as you let it breathe; little pockets of curiosity poking out and drawing you in. A drinking experience like no other. This bests Grange by a mile. Astralis by a yard. It's knocking on the door of Hill of Grace in its best vintages. Be warned: there is life before drinking Maurice O'Shea, and life after - nothing will ever taste the same.
