A revered name in the Yarra, Lone Star Creek were supplying grapes to some of the Yarra's heaviest hitters long before they began producing their own wines. It's this intricate understanding of the land, climate and conditions that allows for the production of wines like this: Complex, perfumed and nuanced, this is simply beautiful. Dense mulberry, toasty oak, soft tannins and a beautifully spiced finish. This is pure Upper Yarra, the concentration and brightness of the fruit are one thing, the savoury spice and lingering tannin are another thing entirely.
