Why do we love this wine?
Our talented winemaker is one of those wine-is-in-my-blood characters. Ever since he was a kid, it seemed he was drawn to the vineyard. In his adult life, he’s spanned the globe learning the tricks of the trade, bringing it all back home to make terroir driven wines from Australia’s best regions. This one is a classic blend of grenache, shiraz and mourvèdre from Barossa. If GSM isn’t the best kind of wine to crack as you knock off work on a Friday arvo, we’re not sure what is. There’s just enough tannin and oak spice to recognise this as a Barossa wine, but its supple fruity character makes it oh so guzzle-able. Maybe we can’t wait for a Friday afternoon after all.
