1x Cape Barren The Vale Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Bursting with a complex and fruity palate that flows into a spectacular and warm finish, this shiraz is, hand-on-heart, one of the most impressive and iconic drops to make its way out of the Vale. Honestly, this deal is so unbelievably good that it's hard not to give you a peak behind the curtain. We can say this though - it's one of the best offers of the year. It's a shiraz that's smooth and toasty yet oh so complex with an intensity that will push your eyebrows to your hairline for all the right reasons.

1x Schild Estate Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
Barossa Valley — Australia
Whenever you're looking to decipher the quality of a winery, go straight for the middle-tier wines. That's how you separate the good producers from the exceptional ones: by the calibre and attention they pay at every level. It's a great thing to look at the wines of Schild Estate, and this 'Estate' shiraz is full of that greatness. Brimming with chocolate and boysenberry richness, coupled with plenty of black pepper and clove spice. This is shiraz, stripped back, unfussy, pure and simple. What a delight.
You’d pay $30 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Hollick Red Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine- and we're speaking from experience.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Watkins Cellar Reserve Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2017
Red — Shiraz
Langhorne Creek — Australia
The name Watkins might be new to some, but their contributions to the wine industry have pre-dated many. In fact, they’ve been making the wines for many big name South Australian wineries for decades. Walk into their cellar door right on the border of McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, and you’ll never want to leave. You'll be captured with their cellar reserve wines, the way that the plush fruit balanced so well with the savoury edges. There is no occasion that this wine doesn’t fit. Luckily for us, the same applies to the company of the Watkins family themselves. Cheers to you, legends!
You’d pay $35 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Koonowla Reverence Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Clare Valley — Australia
Clare Valley shiraz is the oft-forgotten gem of the South Australian wine landscape. This crafty shiraz beautifully captures the modern Clare style with a focus on regionality and drinkability. A medium-to-full-bodied wine packed with savoury spice, crushed dark fruits and structural, yet tasteful, French oak. Somehow this wine manages to be both elegant and exciting, powerful yet subtle. If you're a fan of cool climate shiraz but wished it had a bit more grunt - this is the ticket.
You’d pay $32 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Turkey Flat Vineyards Butcher's Block GSM 2021
Red — GSM
Barossa Valley — Australia
Comprising of 56% grenache, 38% shiraz and a 6% splash of mataro, expect a plush and fruit forward, medium bodied GSM that is hard not to enjoy. Floral aromatics give way to subtle hints of spice and a minty kick which provides a savoury framing to its dense fruit core.
Barossa Valley’s 2021 vintage displayed such a consistent fruit set that it has gone down as one of the best years in recent memory. Even affordable ‘entry level’ wines (in the hands of skilled winemakers, of course) showcased stunning personality and drive. At this pricepoint, you can crack open a bottle on any night of the week, for any reason and know you’ll be swept up in all the deliciousness and feel very spoilt. Go on, you deserve it.
You’d pay $27 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Russell & Suitor Franca's Vineyard Grenache 2024
Red — Grenache
Riverland — Australia
The nose is instantly recognisable; bright, ripe strawberries, darker brooding fruit and lifted spices. It couldn't be anything but grenache. The palate is full-bodied and mouth-filling, it's a fruit-driven wine for sure, but the vibrancy of the acid and the spice create a structure and enduring finish that elevates this wine to the 'drink at any time' category. Chilled or at room temperature, you could even make a cracking mulled wine with this one, this is the ultimate 'any time' wine.
You’d pay $22 full price.
