1x Chateau Yaldara 1847 Grand Pappy's Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
Barossa Valley — Australia
The Boss
We all know the Barossa, and likely this icon of a wine, but do we really know it’s history? Introducing to you pioneers of this famed region, with this winery established over 150 years ago. They show no mercy when it comes to staying true to the region: meaty, bold, and focused reds with a whole lot of character. You know what we’re talking about: eye-catching hues of purple, soft and silky tannins, and more plummy goodness than you can poke a stick at. There’s cherry and rhubarb sure, but we’re talking unapologetic notes of chocolate, toasty oak and handfuls of freshly cracked pepper. It’s a showstopper, and built to impress even the most discerning of critics.
You’d pay $320 full price.

1x Pirathon Silver Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
You’ll know this winery the second you get an eye on the bottles, and for good reason. This producer has been at the fore of producing those styles Aussies love from reds out of the valley. Dark fruits such as plums and blackberries step forward and there’s plenty of secondary notes such as cedar, pastille and chocolate. If Barossa shiraz is your jam (but not too jammy of course), then you can turn to this number to give you the happiness you seek.
You’d pay $32 full price.

2x Farmer's Leap Pillar Box Red 2021
Red — Shiraz Blend
Padthaway — Australia
Wow - this is a knockout. At the price this wine commands, you literally could not find anything better. We try a lot of wines here, and to say that this one was instantly outstanding is barely touching on how impressed we were. Incredible aromatics meet you on the nose, a tribute to the cab sauv that makes up a quarter of the blend. Shiraz shines with a bountiful expression of plum, blackberry and preserved cherries - the good ones that you save for your Sunday roast. Give us an hour to talk about this wine, and we’d do so without skipping a beat.
You’d pay $22 full price.

2x Devitt & Moore Sunderland Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
Limestone Coast — Australia
South Aussie shiraz: it's known the world over for a reason. Rich, decadent, chocolatey and oh so more-ish. From the famed clay soils of the Coonawarra comes this luscious shiraz that is all about personality. A little bit spicy, chewy tannins and a supple fruit driven body. It's hard to pick out anything that is not to like about this belter of a wine, it's all about pure enjoyment.
You’d pay $36 full price.

2x Tabali Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Chile — Chile
This is Tabalí’s Reserva cabernet, sourced from the Dom vineyard in Maipo Valley. For those in the know, it isn’t news that Chile provides some of the best bang for your buck cabernet anywhere in the world. The complexity, balance and length found in the price of a weeknight quaffer is unrivalled. This has lifted blackberry and blackcurrant, buttressed by some sneaky spicy notes and chalky fine tannins. You’d be hard pressed to find this wines compete at this price no matter where you look.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Hesketh Regional Selections Grenache 2020
Red — Grenache
Barossa — Australia
We couldn't be more excited about the rise and rise of grenache in Australia. A bottle in every pantry, and on every table. This is plummy and ripe with blueberries and raspberries in the mix. The wine has enough acid to wrap that parcel of juicy fruit up and deliver it neatly through a lone, powerful finish.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Gapsted Limited Release Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
King Valley — Australia
Another ripper from an absolute mofo fave producer. Single vineyard shiraz from King Valley. Sometimes you don’t want something new - you know the producer, you love the region and it goes with your lifestyle. A great example of our national grape with bright red fruits, clove and other spices. and soft smooth tannins. So soft, so smooth, so delicious.
You’d pay $27 full price.
