Why do we love this case?
Drinking riesling is like having a deep and meaningful conversation with an erudite friend; it’s expressive, complex and makes you think. Plus you’re doing one of those things that enriches your future self. So we’ve gathered some golden grape goodness from some of the best riesling academies to get your mind and palate ticking.
Each case contains ONE bottle of each of the following:
1x Kirrihill E.B. Gleeson 'The Settler' Riesling 2019
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Some producers are one-hit wonders, and some are as versatile as the day is long. Kirihill is in the latter camp, with great wines from shiraz, to cabernet, Malbec to Mataro. But of course, we wouldn’t be talking highlights if we weren’t talking riesling, and ‘The Settler’ is precisely that. From the WSS vineyard in Watervale - prized for its unique soils- this is intensely lime and citrus driven. A steely palate glides you into the refreshing lemon sherbet finish—a zippy way to slide into summer, fish and chips at the ready.

1x Kilikanoon Golden Hillside Riesling 2021
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Another year and another glorious vintage of one or our absolute favourites. We are still wondering if this “Golden Hillside” is an actual place, or a mythical place of the gods. The riesling from the Hillside is nothing short of heavenly, and the price suggests some sort of divine intervention. Plus, however high the vineyards of Clare Valley can get, surely those planted on celestial slopes are more so. How else would you get such an otherworldly balance of drool-worthy lime and sunshine-soaked lemons, refreshing minerality and cloudlike complexity? The bottle definitely says Clare Valley though.
You’d pay $45 full price.

1x B Minor Riesling 2022
White — Riesling
Nagambie Lakes — Australia
The winemaker behind this riesling has experience running the show at the crème de la crème of Victoria’s best wineries (and numerous stints in France). This riesling is an intense yet pure expression of place from 40+ year-old vines. Leaping with floral aromatics, think ginger and jasmine, with a crunchy apple flavour fleshing out into the riper pineapple spectrum. The acidity is mouthwatering but offers a perfectly balanced riesling frame - the basis for subtle yet persistent flavours. Pure perfection.
You’d pay $30 full price.

1x Derwent Estate Deviance Riesling 2019
White — Riesling
Tasmania — Australia
Complex and textural riesling from the Apple Isle. This small-scale passion project of Tassie icon Derwent Estate is brand new to the ‘Fo. Safe to say, we’re stoked to get our hands on it. Juicy, pithy lime gives depth and breadth to the palate, and developed whole lemon drives the fruit profile. A musky, petroleum nuance reveals itself in the glass. We won’t judge you if instant gratification is your thing, but this beauty will keep developing in complexity for years to come.
You’d pay $29 full price.

1x Pikes 'Traditionale' Riesling 2022
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Your next riesling need not be introduced. This is Pikes, one of the most adored Clare Valley wineries- and for good reason. Pikes have been a household name since their days manufacturing beer and soft drinks, but have since captivated hearts with phenomenal wines true to the unique and famed terroir of the Clare Valley. I'll never forget sipping on the fresh 2022 vintage with Jamie Pike at the Quarry Hill Lookout watching over Polish Hill River. This is a wine that commands a sensational moment, although the argument could be had that this wine is what makes those moments sensational. Lemon-lime pithiness, refreshing mineral core, and a humming note of white blossoms and jasmine sing a beautiful harmony. If you’re looking for the best riesling of Clare, notice us gently nudge this one your way.
You’d pay $27 full price.
