Why do we love this case?
Are you a fan of style, finesse, brightness, lift, ripping acidity, perfume, and complexity? Then this is purpose built just for you. Take a deep dive into three of the most popular grapes that have been getting wine nerds revved up for as long as there have been wine nerds to begin with!
2x Ara Resolute Organic Pinot Noir 2020
Red — Pinot Noir
Marlborough — New Zealand
You can taste the rugged mountains and icy rivers, the rush of the landscape and the darkness of the pinot grapes that grow here. It’s a powerful pinot. Full of dark berries and herby, nutty earthines. That palate maturity is prevalent throughout. Mushroom, mocha, a bit of wet earth, smoke, and game. This is a seriously generous and complex wine. The juiciness is set against spindly tannin giving the wine wonderful texture and a well presented, long finish. This is winemaking magic, mofos.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Twin Valleys Pinot Noir 2021
Red — Pinot Noir
Alpine & King Valleys — Australia
The Twin Valleys pinot noir grabs all that Alpine and King Valley freshness and bottles it up for us to enjoy elsewhere. The lightness and the cool, bright acid line that cuts through this wine brings a satisfying bit of energy to whoever’s lucky enough to have it in their cup (me, in this instance). Winter strawberry and under ripe raspberry on the palate immediately, but there is a bit of darker, richer fruit tucked in behind it. Mulberry and bramble, and a bit of vanillin oak presence, too. A bit of whole bunch lends a slippery, suppleness to the mouthfeel and ties the wine together beautifully. A fine boned, prickly finish that lasts and lasts.
You’d pay $31 full price.

2x Gapsted Limited Release Chardonnay 2021
White — Chardonnay
King Valley — Australia
Fresh and energetic chardy from Victoria’s High Country. Nutty, a little savoury and cheesy in parts, but with zippy stone fruit acidity that bristles on the palate. This is a wonderful example of high altitude brightness that doesn’t become overly lean or stingy. Nectarine, whole lemon, apricot, white peach - this has got it all. Complex and generous chardy under fifteen bucks? Sounds like a steal to me.
You’d pay $31 full price.

South Australia — Australia
Round and silky chardonnay is the cure for any ailment. This style isn't in abundant supply anymore, but we've been keeping it alive for our mofos. You know- the chardy that with weight and fullness, satisfying in every way. Picture this: you've just got home from work. It's been a long day, and a glass of wine is on your mind. You're not feeling zippy enough for a crisp white, but you know a red will send you to sleep. Light bolt moment! How about a weighty white to quench your thirst? This cracking chardy is to the rescue, with its abundant body reminiscent of melon, mango and baking spices.

2x Reschke R-Series Riesling 2023
White — Riesling
Limestone Coast — Australia
Young, bright, and fresh as a daisy. This rizza is full of blossoms and citrus, a nervy line of acid and beautiful texture. Reschke are known for their long-lived red wines, and that applies just as much to their pristinely crafted whites. I mean, you don't get a 96pt score for nothing. Whether you drink this beauty now or hold it for a couple of years, it's a pleaser for sure.
You’d pay $20 full price.

2x Paul Nelson De Taillevent Riesling 2023
White — Riesling
Great Southern — Australia
The southern growing regions of Western Australia coming after the title for world class riesling. The results are magnificent, and the world is starting to sit up and take notice. Good riesling finds a way to marry fruit weight with piercing acidity. This De Taillevent rizza has a pithy citrus mid palate which gives satisfying breadth to the wine, but the raciness gives the whole thing genuine get-up-and-go. Green apple and lime zest aromas flow into lime flesh and gravelly minerality on the palate. As exciting as it is energetic - this is spring into summer stayer for sure.
You’d pay $29 full price.
