Why do we love this case?
Centuries of hard study and impossible calculations by boffins all over the world have gotten us no closer to figuring out whether we prefer gris or grigio. And you know what, we're happy sitting on the fence. In this case, you'll get to explore the wonders of both styles. It’s pretty much the best way to get around the grape.
2x Twin Valleys Reserve Pinot Gris 2023
White — Pinot Gris
Alpine Valleys — Australia
Exuding elegance and charm, this is a gris that captivates all senses. Delicate floral aromas intertwine with the vibrant spiced pear fruit notes, cinnamon, and Meyer lemon, creating an inviting bouquet. Tensely balanced to provide both freshness and texure, this is really an ‘all-purpose’ wine for any food or mood.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Haselgrove Bella Vigna Pinot Gris 2023
White — Pinot Gris
Limestone Coast — Australia
This is an example of gris that we like a lot. Fleshy and mouth-wateringly moreish, this is sure to serve any and all guests well. That's what happens you you have classic, melony, pear-driven lusciousness and appley goodness running from the generosity of Golden Delicious right through to the almost bashfully exuberant Fuji. If you don’t know why we love this already, you're about to find out why.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Eminence Novella Pinot Gris 2022
White — Pinot Gris
Whitlands — Australia
If it were up to me, this is what all pinot gris would look like; blush and rose coloured with a barely perceptible shimmer of gold. This is the work of Clare and Pete at Eminence Wines in Victoria’s high country. They are masters of their craft and managing the difficult alpine conditions. This is a beautiful wine; laden with floral aromatics and bursting with cool red fruits on the palate. Delightful now, but will develop a little further complexity over the next few years (though it won’t last the summer in my house).
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Gapsted Limited Release Pinot Grigio 2022
White — Pinot Grigio
King Valley — Australia
The Alpine and King Valleys are national leaders for producing delicious grigio. It’s likely thanks to all the Italian influence up there. There’s more Italian surnames floating around those parts than in The Godfather. So really, you’d expect them to know what they’re doing with pinot grigio.
This’ll keep you cool and refreshed on the hottest of days. It’ll please everyone from Auntie Karen to your grigio-guzzling bestie. Don’t turn your nose up at a great wine doing great work, even if it is as ludicrously low priced as this. Trust in this great value vino. It’ll repay you in flavour, every damn day.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Savian Pinot Grigio 2022
White — Pinot Grigio
Veneto — Italy
Let us take you all the way to Veneto without even having to leave your backyard. This classic Italian grigio delivers in spades, providing subtle floral notes over the nose, firm pear flavours and the palate weight of a gentle hug. The subtle tartness on the finish wraps it up neatly and demands a light dish of grilled white fish or maybe some green olives. We recommend enjoying a glass or two in your sun drenched garden at around about 4pm. With low sulphites throughout the winemaking process and organically grown fruit and a DOC classification to boot, Savian has been kicking wine goals for decades.
You’d pay $28 full price.

2x Colab and Bloom Pinot Grigio 2022
White — Pinot Grigio
South Australia — Australia
We love us some bright, fresh and vibrant grigio here at the ‘Fo. And this one hits all those notes. There’s pear and green apple in spades and wonderfully balanced acidity to cleanse the palate. Nothing pairs better with lunch on the deck than a wine just like this. It doesn’t need to be any more complicated than that.
You’d pay $25 full price.
