Why do we love this case?
Ah, the age-old debate. Do I go for a gris or a grigio? Centuries of hard study and impossible calculations by boffins all over the world have gotten us no closer to finding an answer. Then, someone at Vinomofo put this case together and we collectively face-palmed at the simplicity of the solution. Here, you get two bottles of six different wines. Each wine is a little different so you’ve got some room for exploration, too. It’s pretty much the best way to get around the grape.
Each case contains TWO of the following:
2x Gapsted Limited Release Pinot Grigio 2022
White — Pinot Grigio
King Valley — Australia
The Alpine and King Valleys are national leaders for producing delicious grigio. It’s likely thanks to all the Italian influence up there. There’s more Italian surnames floating around those parts than in The Godfather. So really, you’d expect them to know what they’re doing with pinot grigio.
This’ll keep you cool and refreshed on the hottest of days. It’ll please everyone from Auntie Karen to your grigio-guzzling bestie. Don’t turn your nose up at a great wine doing great work, even if it is as ludicrously low priced as this. Trust in this great value vino. It’ll repay you in flavour, every damn day.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Twin Valleys Pinot Grigio 2022
White — Pinot Grigio
King Valley — Australia
Italy’s leading grape varieties have an established home in the King Valley, including the ever-popular pinot grigio. This example is bright with citrus and pear on the nose and freshness from the nose to the palate with a crisp, minerally finish - a lively white that’s ripe with enthusiasm. From a weekend BBQ to a plate of spaghetti marinara over candlelight, it’s a flexible food wine that is sure to please.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Greenstone Gusto Pinot Grigio 2021
White — Pinot Grigio
Yarra Valley — Australia
You’ll know the name, now here’s the story. This winery have made their name in Victoria for good reason; great wine, and great people. Originally starting up in the state’s northern viticultural area in and around Heathcote, they expanded to the the Yarra Valley, and now they source fruit from various GIs in search of crowd pleasing drops. This Mornington Peninsula grigio hits the thirst you never knew you had; refreshing lemon & lime zest with a marked balance towards green apple and just-ripe pears. If there was a grigio brief, rest assured that they’ve nailed it here.
What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Matahiwi Estate ME Pinot Gris 2022
White — Pinot Gris
Wairarapa — New Zealand
Matahiwi Estate’s Wairarapa pinot gris is all about capturing the purity of fresh fruit in the bottle. Nothing beats enjoying the beauty of a wine region in person, but knocking back a glass or two would surely come a comfortable second. With musky aromatics, juicy apples and ripe pear tones bolstered by generous and balanced spice and a powerful body to boot, this really is Kiwi pinot gris in a nutshell. This ‘drink now’ style is certainly showing its best while young and (we think) paired with Moules Marinieres (that’s French for creamy, garlicky mussels) and hunks of oven toasted breadstick. Did someone say lunch in the sun?
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Fenetre Lavande Pinot Gris 2022
White — Pinot Gris
South Australia — Australia
Steely and tart south Aussie gris. Vibrant stone fruit and citrus on the back of bristling acidity. Gris sometimes gets relegated to the warmer months alone, and while it’s well and truly at home under the brolly at the beach or in the back yard, there’s much more this wine offers. This has zesty lemon and green apple at its core, but there is plushness and texture flanking that freshness. Beautifully balanced and multifaceted, this versatile gris will hit the spot year-round.
You’d pay $25 full price.
