Why do we love this case?
Halliday fan? We are too. We’ve put together a pack consisting of bottles sourced only from Halliday Five Red Star-rated wineries. This is the cream of the crop, a case with the whole fruit salad of varieties - something for all of your dinner guests.
What is a 5 Red Star winery you ask?
Well... It’s a Halliday rating for a winery that has consistently produced wines of “exemplary quality and typicity”. To have a 5 RED star rating the winery has to have held a 5 Star rating for a minimum of 4 years! - Basically you know these folk aren’t messing about!
Each case includes TWO of the following:
2x Kilikanoon Golden Hillside Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
Clare Valley — Australia
I first came across Kilikanoon Wines in my early twenties - I was a huge Riesling fan and they made a cracker so I fell in love early and the value of this one is unbelievable. The perfect bottle to crack on a Friday night to kick off your weekend. Get home, pour yourself a glass, start cooking and hope there’s some left by the time you’re done. We’ve bought the Golden Hillside for years now, and it just keeps getting better and better. – Justin Dry, C0-Founder
Kickass Kili have done it again. Their inimitable Golden Hillside shiraz is a firm ‘fo fave, and consistently one of the fastest selling wines we bring in. Not surprising, really. Rambunctious cherries and burstingly-juicy berries are just contained by a toasty coating of fabulous French oak. No rush to drink this beauty, it’ll keep the rest of your cellar very good company for a decade, easy.
You’d pay $45 full price.

2x Amelia Park Ironstone Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Frankland River — Australia
This wine is, without doubt, one of the most popular we’ve ever seen at Vinomofo. How popular is popular, you ask? Well, thirsty mofos took over 30,000 bottles of a previous vintage straight out of our hands. Yup. We know it’s a great wine deal but when our mofo members are this unanimous in their desire for this drop; well it’s simply cause for one big shiraz gluggin’ celebration.
Full bodied and silky smooth with lashings of plums and earthy spice; if you’re quaffing this Frankland River gem on a week night, know you’re in good company alongside many a mofo. With one fist in the air (and the other holding a glass of this wine) we salute you!
You’d pay $33 full price.

2x Penley Estate Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Coonawarra — Australia
We all know that this winery, one of Coonawarra’s finest, make great cabernet under their Estate Range. It’s the kind of red you want on the wine rack all year round because it over-delivers and gets better and better. Can the same be said for their shiraz? We think even more so, but you’ll have to try the wine and decide for yourself. Expect a firm palate with soft tannins, nestled in a medium-body of fruit and spice. There’s dark plums, bright cherries and spicy cloves, drinking well now and only getting better.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Thistledown Wild & Wilder 'The Unforgettable' GSM 2022
Red — GSM
South Australia — Australia
GSM - the ‘Holy Trinity’ of South Aussie reds. It’s the simple, but pleasing harmony of the blend that is nearly better than the sum of its parts. This is a ripe and succulent red that shows off the best of all three varieties. Grenache brings red berries, plums and a bit of warmth. Shiraz adds spice and acid. And then mataro contributes a wonderfully floral nose and its famous inky colour. This is a solid and tasty version of the blend, sure to please fans of the style
You’d pay $22 full price.

2x Haselgrove Bella Vigna Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
This producer has to be one of the most consistently excellent wineries in McLaren Vale. Many of their wines get scores in the high-90s year after year and we reckon this wine may have the same fate, so were happy to get in before the reviews. The flavour’s there and the points will come. This one is McLaren Vale to a tee with all the dark, ripe berries, chocolate and spice you could want. It’s full-bodied and absolutely delightful. Trust us, mofo, this stuff is awesome.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Pikes 'Los Compañeros' Shiraz Tempranillo 2020
Red — Shiraz Blend
Clare Valley — Australia
Clare Valley is famous for riesling, but once you’ve polished off a bottle of rizza and a hearty meal is about to be served, you’ll be looking towards a red. This shiraz temp blend will fit the bill perfectly - medium-bodied and full of plums, cherries and licorice. We’re not going to name names, but some of our colleagues have demolished a case of this in under a week. We can’t judge them, this is the perfect kind of wine for all occasions. Our secret tip? Give it a light chill in the fridge and watch all those delicious red fruits blossom. One bottle just never seems to be enough.
What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
You’d pay $25 full price.
