This is fumé, which means that it sees a bit of oak influence. That time in timber adds a layer of complexity to the wine. This has an abundance of fruit: passionfruit, guava, and lychee with kiwi fruit acidity. Fumé SB has gone from an emerging style in the Aussie market to a fully fledged stayer, so expect to see more of it on the shelves at your local (and your favourite online retailer, too).

Young, bright, and fresh as a daisy. This rizza is full of blossoms and citrus, a nervy line of acid and beautiful texture. Reschke are known for their long-lived red wines, and that applies just as much to their pristinely crafted whites. I mean, you don't get a 96pt score for nothing. Whether you drink this beauty now or hold it for a couple of years, it's a pleaser for sure.

Its light-bodied palate is fun and fruity, dangerously delicious and perfectly paired with sunshine, friends and all of the finger-food your heart can handle. Italy’s leading grape varieties have an established home in the King Valley, including the ever-popular pinot grigio. This example of the grape is bright with citrus and pear on the nose and freshness from the nose to the palate with a crisp, mineral finish. When given more time to develop in the glass, the wine shares a greater depth to its expression. Ripe red apple, nashi pear, and hints of sherbet on the nose. From a weekend BBQ to a plate of spaghetti marinara over candlelight, it’s a flexible food wine that is sure to please.

Based out of the Clare Valley, Marnie Roberts is a dedicated winemaker who chooses specific vineyards that speak to her love of fun, easy going wine. That’s our kind of winemaker! This fiano walks the line of green tropical fruits and preserved citrus, making it approachable on its own, or as the Italians would enjoy it - with food (we’re thinking seafood is called for). There’s a reason why fiano is becoming such a popular variety in Australia, and with this in our glasses, it’s easy to see why.

This chardonnay is peachy, flinty, rounded and ready for a good time, packing all kinds of punches in a sensationally smashable outfit.
Padthaway is undoubtedly an underdog region. Not for lack of quality or passion, which comes in bucketloads here. Head inland to find this little gem of an area where the limestone and sandy soils cover the landscape: the beating heart of some outstanding value wines. Consider yourself warned, mofo: deals like this should not be taken for granted.
