Lovers of big, rich and juicy McLaren Vale shiraz step to the front of the line. Vibrant and plush, with that silky smooth texture that this producer is so loved for. The 2021 vintage was truly once in a lifetime for most South Aussie winemakers, and you can pick it immediately here: aromatic and fully expressed, this is fantastic value through and through.

2x Viveur Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Adelaide Hills — Australia
Big and round. Imposing and broad on the palate. This is wine that celebrates the quintessentially Aussie style in it's bold approach. Blueberries and plums lead out, bramble, nettle, blackberry seeds mark the finish. There is classic chocolate and spice, coupled with some oak sweetness in the mix as well. This is a wine for bold flavours -it'll do wonderfully side-by-side with a takeaway pizza from your local spot.
You’d pay $35 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Peter Drayton Ironbark Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Hunter Valley — Australia
Plush and plummy cabernet from the Hunter Valley. Rich bramble and cassis aromatics overlay grippy, spindly tannin and punchy acidity. The finish is long and defined, with cocoa nib and coffee nuance. This is really quite classic, all told, and a stark reminder that the Hunter Valley is a red wine producing powerhouse, despite our affections for the southern band of states when it comes to all things rouge.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Sevenhill Inigo Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Clare Valley — Australia
Oooo yeah, that's the stuff. Clare shiraz doesn't get as much of a look in next to its big siblings in Barossa and McLaren Vale, but wines like this will turn your head all over again. Brightly aromatic, and instantly broad in its palate breadth. Fresh cola, violets, pencil shavings and fresh cocoa powder mingle with red plums, black cherry and redcurrants. This is a wine that is very hard not to love.

2x Gemtree Wines Bloodstone Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Five red star Halliday producer. Certified Organic. Utterly delicious. There's a lot to like about this wine. Gemtree are a well established winery with an exceptional, hard earned reputation for producing great wine. Case in point: this is full, fruit forward, laden with red and black fruit, and punchy. For best results, give it a short decant to let it fills its lungs a little, we guarantee it'll sing.
You’d pay $22 full price.

2x Farmer's Leap Pillar Box Red 2021
Red — Shiraz Blend
Padthaway — Australia
Wow - this is a knockout. At the price this wine commands, you literally could not find anything better. We try a lot of wines here, and to say that this one was instantly outstanding is barely touching on how impressed we were. Incredible aromatics meet you on the nose, a tribute to the cab sauv that makes up a quarter of the blend. Shiraz shines with a bountiful expression of plum, blackberry and preserved cherries - the good ones that you save for your Sunday roast. Give us an hour to talk about this wine, and we’d do so without skipping a beat.
