1x d'Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2018
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
The Maestro
Impossible to overstate the excellence on offer here. This is superb stuff. There is so much complexity and depth to the wine, something new is ready to reveal itself at every sip. Cassis and black cherry out of the gate. Some riper, richer plums and brambles mix with roasted vegetables and sweet spice. It's powerful but never overbearing, full and rich but precise and focused - everything is as it should be. A wine with genuine presence on the palate. Oomph that doesn't veer into being unctuous. The structure of the wine will ensure it is long lived; while drinking brilliantly now, this is a wine with a conservative two decades left in the tank.
You’d pay $78 full price.

1x Pertaringa 'Belonging to the Hills' Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
The Pertaringa name is no stranger to the Aussie household. The iconic Hardy family are to wine what vegemite is to toast: a perfect match. So, to land this beauty from the hands of Bec Hardy is monumental for us, and we couldn't be more pleased. This is McLaren Shiraz through and through, with densely packed dark chocolate and fresh roasted coffee exploding on the nose. The palate follows through just as true, layered with preserved plums, dark forest berries and a lick of vanillin softness. There's one word for this wine, and it's awesome.
You’d pay $60 full price.

1x Reschke Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Limestone Coast — Australia
South Australia’s Limestone Coast is not quite as famous as a few neighbouring regions, and as a result the value to be found there is staggering. At this price, get set for your mind to be blown. It’s got the trademark florality of your classic coonawarra cabs, although we’re talking more intense black forest fruits and pepper rather than your typical violets and berries. If you're anything like us, you'll be astounded at the value here.
You’d pay $25 full price.

1x Schild Estate GSM 2021
Red — GSM
Barossa — Australia
Sure, you might know Barossa shiraz, but the next best thing absolutely has to be the GSM blends from this mighty region. This one leans a little on the meatier side, which will happen when you go a little heavier handed than usual on the mataro in the blend. We're not mad about this one at all; it packs a serious punch, with ripe blackberries, blueberry pie, baking spices and tobacco leaf mingling beautifully in a smoothly textured palate.
You’d pay $30 full price.

1x Hollick Red Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine- and we're speaking from experience.
You’d pay $35 full price.

1x Coombe Yarra Valley Estate Pinot Noir 2023
Red — Pinot Noir
Yarra Valley — Australia
We can't believe we've managed to get our hands on this one! From two of the most premium blocks in this producer's extensive holdings, this delicious drops is loaded with ripe dark fruits and red berries. Nine months on lees in premium French oak has imparted incredible drive and structure, but the wine remains elegant and silky on the palate, perfectly supported by ripe tannins. W-O-W

1x Pyren Vineyards Earthscape Malbec 2022
Red — Malbec
Pyrenees — Australia
A medium bodied but generous style. Plenty of whole bunch and some carbonic maceration add a brightness to the fruit whilst maintaining the herbs and spices that Malbec is known for. Central Victoria's Pyrenees region is perhaps best known for the natural mineral and spice characteristics imparted on its reds. Malbec from the Pyrenees makes perfect sense, this beauty has winemakers all over Australia saying "why didn't I think of that?!"
You’d pay $50 full price.

1x Haselgrove Staff Chardonnay 2023
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
Here it is: our mofos' favourite rich, big, buttery chardonnay. You’ve gone crazy for this one, year after year. The round melon, pineapple and guava notes abundantly coat the palate, while succulent french oak flavours linger long. Loaded with texture and harmonious layers of citrus and floral notes to really secure its place as one complex chardy. You’ll have no problems knocking back a glass or two of this beauty whatever the occassion, we’ve certainly been known to crack one come 5pm at Mofo HQ.
You’d pay $40 full price.

1x Pauletts Clare Valley Riesling 2023
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Clare Valley riesling proves, again, that it's one of the best 'bang for your buck' wines in the world, yep, __seriously__. Packed full of distinctive regional qualities: lemon-lime cordial, orange blossom, zippy acidity and that slatey mineral note we all know and love - this is an absolute winner.
Right in the sweet spot. On the spectrum of Clare riz, this sits bang in the middle, 'the goldilocks zone', so to speak. The acid is prevalent, but not too austere. The fruit is developed, but not overly rich. The mineral aspects are refreshing, but not spritzy. It's the kind of wine you can show to anyone, but far from boring. A fresh, dry and completely delicious bottle of rizza that'll have you reaching for another glass quicker than you think. A little dangerous in that regard. Drink now or have a look in 5 years.
You’d pay $28 full price.

1x Mitolo Jester Pinot Grigio 2024
White — Pinot Grigio
Limestone Coast — Australia
When you check the notes for this wine and see that it is grown on soils rich in limestone you take another sip and delve into a wine that is oozing in freshness and bright acidity. It's the type of wine you pop in the middle of the table on a hot day and realise you need 12 more bottle when your mates keep coming back for another glass. It reminds us that wine when wine is easy and bloody darn good tasting, we want to share it with good company. This is a perfect wine to do those things without breaking the bank.
You’d pay $25 full price.
