Why do we love this case?
The concept behind this pack is pretty simple; there’s only one condition to entry - a 95 point or higher award. The vast majority need not apply. We already separate the wheat from the chaff here at the ‘fo. This is the artisan stonebaked masterwork that results.
1x Ulithorne Frux Frugis Shiraz 2018
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Welcome to this producer’s flagship wine. All parents say they don’t have a favourite child, but we’re pretty sure this would be the one for our star McLaren Vale producer. Picking the premium, low-yielding fruit from their vineyards, they’ve succeeded in creating a magnificently concentrated wine. There’s some parcels of fruit that go into American oak, and some in French. Some new and some old. It hits all the notes and comes together in a symphony of black and blue fruits. C’mon, those scores from the experts really speak for themselves on this one. But if we were to give you a short review from our team, it’d be this: don’t pass on the opportunity to get this in your glass.

1x Hastwell And Lightfoot Sands of Time Reserve Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Somewhat developed in the best possible way. Some wines, just like people, have a bit of an awkward adolescent stage. Others power straight through and seamlessly transition from youth straight to adulthood. This wine is the latter. Despite only being four years old it has softened around the edges and is starting to show some of those fantastic aged wine notes we all love, BUT, it's still go beautiful spice and youthful acid to create a wine that really is in the sweet spot. If you want to keep this one down for another 10 years then go for it, you'll find there's much development ahead. If you want to crack this open as soon as you can then you're not going to be disappointed in the slightest. A great wine for lovers of all styles of Australian shiraz.

1x Auld Family 'The Ernie' Single Vineyard Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
The Barossa Valley is home to quite a few multi-generational wine families. There are legacies as far as the eye can see, stretching across the Barossa plains and rooted as deep as the oldest vineyards. The Aulds are one such family, with the current generation Sam and Jock paying tribute to their lineage who were planting Australian vineyards in the mid 1800's. They know quality when they see it, and they never fail to hit the mark. We guarantee, one sip of the Ernie shiraz and you won't be looking back.

1x Arila Gardens Gardens of Moppa Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Barossa Valley — Australia
Beyond the hype and the high praise (95 Sam Kim, 94 Ken Gargett, 4.1 Vivino), this is a wine that makes good on all of its promises. Blue and black fruited, big, powerful, inky, structural and generous with lashings of chocolate and coffee giving balance to profound oak. We've been trying to get our hands on this wine for a while now, and we've finally done it. So kick back, pour yourself a glass, and celebrate with us Mofo. We've earned it.

1x Sequent Barossa Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
Genuinely one of the best value wines that we stock. Big and bold, as you'd expect from any self respecting Barossan, but there's a prettiness and elegance to this wine that elevates it above its contemporaries. If you're after bang for your buck, look no further. A generous and inviting bouquet of violets, boysenberry and cherry crumble meet the nose and might have you thinking you've got a lighter style of shiraz on your hands. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth. On the palate it's a little darker, plum, anise and choc liquorice with prominent, but well-integrated, toasty vanillin oak. Sure this is a full bodied wine, but when we tried this one on the tasting bench the two words that kept coming up were 'smooth' and 'pretty'.

1x Curtis Family Vineyards Pasha Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
With points across the board, this is a wine that reviewers adore, no doubt. But more importantly, with a 4.3 Vivino score, it's a favourite of the wine drinking public, and that's the highest acclaim there is.
Deeply rich. Deeply concentrated. Round, rustic, earthy, pure fruited. Blackberry compote and quince, red and (classically Vale) blue fruits. A luscious mouthfeel framed by the deployment of quality oak. Sweet smoke and vanilla unfurl in the glass. Ripe fruit that never delves into being over-ripe or jammy, it sits poised on the edge retaining freshness and zeal. Let it breathe and it will offer more and more, this wine was still evolving as we emptied the very last drop. Certifiably, unequivocally, simply delicious.
You’d pay $100 full price.
