Why do we love this whisky?
The level of complexity in the Wolfcraig alone makes this an incredible value dram. There’s an array of aromatics ranging from tangello rind, lemongrass and sultana to yellow peach and creme bruleé. The palate offers rich, intense and powerful lashings of fruitcake, molasses and cooked fig while the finish offers spiced ginger and nutmeg. The oak regime elevates this to another level. Aged in newly emptied bourbon barrels and finished in 3 different hand selected sherry casks; providing depth, personality and intrigue. Great on the rocks or mixed into an ever classy ‘Old Fashioned’ cocktail.
