Why do we love this whisky?
Tell you what, this seriously jumps out of the glass. A complex and vaguely sweet nose of pine, cedar, pepper and, of course, smoke makes way for a roasty palate with tasting notes ranging from black liquorice to preserved lemon. The expected brown sugar and creamy vanilla work in tandem with a youthful vibrancy and freshness that lingers on the tongue. The finish is like a cinnamon and sugar apple roasted over a campfire. A whisky that really gives you something to think about and frames traditional flavours with a youthful enthusiasm that is undeniably infectious. A great pick up for any whisky-head.
