Why do we love this whisky?

The first thing that captures your attention is its beautiful, light golden colour, hinting at the elegance that awaits. On the nose, you're greeted by a sweet bouquet of floral notes, alongside hints of tropical fruits like pineapple and mango that transport you straight to the lush landscapes of Okinawa. There’s also a subtle touch of vanilla and a whisper of spices that adds a layer of intrigue.

When you taste Kujira Single Grain Ryukyu Inari, the experience is nothing short of enchanting. The palate is smooth and creamy, showcasing flavours of honeyed rice, toasted coconut, and a delicate sweetness reminiscent of rice pudding. Notes from the maker

Kujira Inari is distilled from 100% Indica rice, offering a unique taste experience, enriched by the use of Okinawan "black Koji", an essential ingredient in rice fermentation. Aged in virgin white oak casks in the USA, this single grain offers additional depth and complexity to its flavour profile.

"Inari", meaning the god of rice cultivation in Japanese mythology, is the perfect name for this whisky, which draws its richness from this essential ingredient.
