Why do we love this whisky?
This rich, full-bodied blend of 100% Islay malts is a whisky for lovers of high quality smoky, peated styles. Charred ash, barbecued fruit and a touch of sea spray sit atop smoked sugar and smoked meats, rich clove and delicate honeycomb. Pedro Ximenez butts and hogsheads are used in ageing to impart richness and depth and ex-bourbon barrels to balance with sweetness and body. Not too sweet, not too rich - perfectly balanced with smokey fruits.
