Why do we love this whisky?
We're so excited when we get so see and try unique, interesting (and delicious) booze here at Whiskymofo. This one ticks all the boxes! From a terroir you'll rarely see around, aged in a uniquely French way, and delivered here at an astonishingly good price. This is truly an opportunity not to be passed up!
French-grown barley is lovingly distilled and aged in virgin French oak barrels, before being transferred to barrels that once housed Pineau des Charentes (a fortified wine made around the Cognac region since the 16th century).
The result is epic - biscuity apricot and citrus dance across an undertone of ginger, rhubarb and caramelised grapefuits. Long and smooth on the finish - you'll want to savour every sip!
