Q: Has Vinomofo or any services used by Vinomofo been part of any data breaches in the last 12 months?
A: No, neither Vinomofo's systems nor its related services have been breached in the last 12 months.
Q: Why is my account locked and why am I suddenly receiving this email?
A: Your login credentials were at risk of being used by unauthorised parties after recent security events reported by unrelated websites. To proactively ensure the safety of your data we have locked your account until a new password has been set.
Q: Do we know which unrelated sites have been breached?
A: No, we are unaware of the specific sites. If you received an email regarding password reuse, we strongly recommend changing them at your earliest convenience.
Q: How were my login details found?
A: Your login details may have been reported directly to our authentication provider or found online by one of our cyber security providers.
Q: I have a complex email, do I still need to change it?
A: Yes, a complex password makes hacking harder but not impossible, it is recommended to change it now and every few months.
Q: Is it possible to know if my credentials were used on a breached website?
A: No, but to eliminate doubt it is advised to change your passwords.
Q: What is the best way to set a password?
A: Keep them complex and unique using a variety of Upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols. If possible, utilize other authentication methods like Facebook Login, Google Login, or Magic Links.
